Dr. Philip Abayomi Olorunfemi is a Nigerian educator, researcher, lecturer, and education advocate with extensive experience in English Language and Literature, language education, curriculum studies, and educational administration. He holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Language Education (English) from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, and a Bachelor of Arts in Education (B.A.Ed.) in English Language from Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo. He has taught English Language and Literature in English at secondary and tertiary levels and has served as an adjunct lecturer at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, the National Teachers Institute, and Topmost College of Education, Lagos. His teaching experience covers areas including English grammar, phonetics and phonology, English as a Second Language, English for Specific Purposes, communication skills, educational psychology, philosophy of education, curriculum and instruction, Nigerian literature, African drama and theatre, poetry, fiction, and English subject methodology. He has also held several academic and administrative positions, including Head of Department of Arts and Humanities, Head of the English Language Unit, Year Planning Officer, Secretary to the School, Personal Assistant to the Principal, and Coordinator of extracurricular activities.Olorunfemi’s research interests include English Language Education, Literature Education, Language Learning, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Psychology, Creative Writing, Multimodal Literacy, and English Language pedagogy. He has presented research at national and international conferences and has published scholarly works examining online language learning, literary texts, creative writing, teachers’ feedback, reading comprehension, speaking fluency, curriculum practices, English language examination performance, African poetry, and postcolonial perspectives on English literature curricula in Nigeria. He has also published numerous poems and actively contributes to the academic community through peer review of manuscripts in education, language, literature, and educational research. Beyond teaching and research, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to community education and advocacy, including initiatives promoting access to formal education among children in underserved communities. He is a member of the English Language Teachers Association of Nigeria (ELTAN) and brings strong competencies in communication, research, teaching, community engagement, educational advocacy, administration, collaboration, and academic coordination.
