Brenda M. Balala, MIT is a Filipino academic, information technology educator, researcher, and computing professional with more than three decades of university teaching and academic service. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Studies, College of Engineering, Architecture and Computing at Notre Dame of Marbel University, Philippines, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Information Technology at AMA University. She holds a Master in Information Technology from Notre Dame of Marbel University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Mindanao State University–Iligan Institute of Technology. Her teaching expertise covers Programming, Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, Business Analytics, and Parallel and Distributed Systems. Her professional and research interests encompass IT governance, IT audit, risk-based assurance, Industry 4.0-aligned education, outcomes-based education, cloud computing, data analytics, information systems, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computing education.Prof. Balala has published and presented research on IT Audit and Governance, Internship/OJT Quality Assessment, Computing Education, Graph Database Modeling, Cloud and Data Analytics, Scalable Information Systems, Algorithm Benchmarking, and Curriculum Development.
