Dr. T. Milton is a seasoned academic and professional in the field of Hospitality and Tourism Management, with over 32 years of experience. Currently serving as a Professor at the Saveetha School of Hospitality and Tourism, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS), Chennai, Dr. Milton has made significant contributions to both academic research and industry development.
He holds a Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from IHMCT Chennai, a Ph.D. in Tourism Management from the University of Madras, and postgraduate degrees in Management, Tourism Management, and Human Resources Management. Dr. Milton has authored six influential books and numerous research articles, which have been published in prestigious journals, including Web of Science, Scopus, and UGC-listed journals.
In addition to his academic work, Dr. Milton has served as a speaker and resource person at various national seminars and conferences, and has been honored with several awards, including the Best Tourism Professor Award and the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Lifetime Achievement International Award. His leadership extends to his role as a former Dean of Academics at Chennais Amirta Group of Hotel Management Institutions, as well as his continued involvement in academic governance through his position on the Board of Studies in Hotel Management at several universities.
Dr. Milton’s professional journey also includes guiding numerous Ph.D. and M.Phil. scholars in Tourism and Hospitality Management, helping shape the next generation of leaders in the field.
