Dr.T.Milton is presently working as Dean, Tourism & Hospitality Mgmt, Bharath Institute of Higher Education & Research, Chennai.. He has more than 30 years of experience in hotel industry as well as hospitality teaching. He has completed his 3 year Diploma in Hotel Mgmt and Catering Technology from IHMCT Chennai in 1992. He started working in Chola Sheraton hotel in Kitchen and went on to become the Executive Chef in Saj Flight kitchen and SRM Royal Southern hotel. After that he started teaching Food Production in various prestigious Catering Colleges such as Vels University, SRM University, Asan Memorial Institute of Hotel Mgmt and presently heading the Hotel Mgmt department in Asan Memorial College. He has participated in various chef competitions and also judged several chef contests. Dr.T.Milton was awarded with Ph.D degree in Tourism Management by University of Madras and he holds post graduate degrees in Management, Tourism Management and Human Resources Management .He has also passed the UGC NET exam in Tourism Management. Dr.T.Milton has 4 years of Industrial Experience in Luxury Hotels and Teaching Experience of 25 Years. He has conducted FDP programs and was the chief guest, resource person for the National Seminars, conferences and workshops in various colleges. He has published 65 articles in Scopus/Web of Science and Journals with ISSN and ISBN and authored two books. He has presented more than 15 Research Papers in International / National / State Level Conferences and seminars and won several prizes in paper presentations. He received the Best Tourism Professor award in July 2019 from the Society of Hospitality Educators Association in Pune. He presently guiding 8 Ph.D Scholars.He serves as Member, Board of Studies in Hotel Management in 4 Universities and also a research guide for Ph.D, and M.Phil Tourism students in various Universities . He is the Executive Committee Member in Indian Tourism Congress from May 2013 onwards and is a member of various hotel mgmt and tourism organizations.
