Dr. Wulfran Fendzi Mbasso is a Cameroonian-Canadian electrical engineer, academic, researcher, and industrial engineering professional with more than 16 years of cross-functional experience in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Electrical Maintenance, Instrumentation, Power Systems, and Industrial Informatics. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Douala, a Master of Research and a Professional Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, and qualifications in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Computing. He is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec and has professional experience spanning industrial and utility facilities, including electrical systems, MV/HV substations, protection and control, PLC/HMI programming, SCADA systems, instrumentation, preventive and corrective maintenance, commissioning, asset reliability, and power quality. He has held technical and supervisory positions in Canada and Cameroon, including Technical Supervisor, Production Foreman, Instrumentation Foreman, and Packaging Team Leader, alongside several years of part-time teaching in technical and engineering institutions.Dr. Mbasso’s research and professional interests encompass Industrial Automation, Electrical Power Systems, Power Quality, Control Systems, Renewable Energy, Energy Optimization, Instrumentation, Industrial Maintenance, Reliability Engineering, and Lean Six Sigma. His technical expertise includes PLC and SCADA technologies, MATLAB, LabVIEW, HOMER Pro, AutoCAD, SAP, project management, continuous improvement, and industrial performance optimization. He has served as a reviewer for several international scientific journals and has undertaken editorial and research roles with scientific and professional organizations, including IEEE and the International Solar Energy Society.
