S. M. Tafsirul Alam Tapu is a distinguished academic and professional in the field of pharmacy, currently serving as a Lecturer at the University of Information Technology & Sciences (UITS) since August 2018. He holds a Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm.) and Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm.) from the University of Rajshahi, with outstanding academic records, earning a cGPA of 3.53 and 3.55, respectively. Tapu has extensive experience in both teaching and the pharmaceutical industry, having worked as a product trainer for Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and General Pharmaceuticals Ltd., where he led product knowledge training and market research. His research interests focus on obesity, drug design, and new drug development. Tapu has supervised numerous student research projects and contributed to publications in well-regarded journals. He is also pursuing a PhD at Tokushima University in Japan, specializing in obesity and metabolic syndrome. Beyond his academic achievements, Tapu holds a government registration as a pharmacist and has actively participated in various professional seminars, cultural activities, and community organizations.
