Prabhakar Singh Patel is an accomplished medical microbiologist, educator, and researcher currently serving as a Junior Research Assistant on a UPCST-funded clinical biomarker project at King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow, where he is also pursuing his Ph.D. in Microbiology. He holds an M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology from Integral University, a Bachelor’s in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) from SHUATS, and diplomas in Nutrition and Health Education, as well as HIV and Family Education. Prabhakar possesses extensive hands-on expertise in laboratory automation, clinical microbiology, and advanced molecular techniques, such as Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) and microbial genomics. His foundational clinical background includes vital service as a Pathology Lab Assistant during the COVID-19 pandemic at Central Hospital, North Central Railway.
An active contributor to medical literature and healthcare technology, Prabhakar has registered multiple high-level assets with the Government of India, including two clinical copyrights and two registered medical design patents—notably an AI-Enabled Digital Stethoscope and a nanotechnology-based cancer treatment device. He has authored the textbook Foundations of Microbiology (Ninetales Publishings), edited Cardiovascular Emergencies, and published numerous peer-reviewed research papers and book chapters spanning antimicrobial resistance, public health, and diagnostics. Reflecting his strong academic leadership, he is a former Assistant Lecturer and Examination In-charge at the Samarpan Institute, a contributing global member of the American Society for Microbiology (ASM), and an active peer reviewer for esteemed indexed journals like Scopus and PubMed Central.
