Mrs. Ts. Emilia Bt Abdull Manan is a Senior Lecturer in Fine Metal, Jewellery, and Metalsmithing within the College of Creative Arts at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Cawangan Kelantan. Certified as a Professional Technologist by the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT), she holds a Master of Art and Design in Design Technology and a Bachelor of Art and Design in Fine Metal from UiTM Shah Alam. Ts. Emilia brings extensive administrative governance experience to higher education, having served as Head of Faculty (KPP) for the College of Creative Arts at UiTM Kelantan from 2021 to 2023, as well as holding multi-year tenure as Programme Chairperson and Course Coordinator for the Fine Metal Design diploma curriculum. In addition to her academic leadership, she serves as an Accreditation Panel Evaluator for MBOT’s Technology and Technical Accreditation Council (TTAC), contributing significantly to program quality assurance, TVET curriculum reform, and outcome-based education (OBE) design standards across Malaysia.Specializing in product design technology, craft skills, and sustainable material innovation, Ts. Emilia’s research focuses on upcycled materials, green technology, and the preservation of Malay cultural heritage. Her creative work in traditional and contemporary jewelry design has garnered major international and national distinctions, including the World Crafts Council Award of Excellence for Handicrafts (Asia Pacific Region) for her Kerongsang Tok series, the Sustainable Design Award from Majlis Rekabentuk Malaysia (MRM), and multiple Gold and Silver medals at international innovation competitions such as IIDeX and i-SPiKE. A prolific contributor to the broader creative ecosystem, she regularly serves as an expert jury panelist for national invention expos, a peer reviewer for reputable multidisciplinary journals, and a mentor for youth design competitions such as WorldSkills Malaysia Belia.
