AbdulSalam Jaber Abdul Jawad is a Libyan academic, accounting professional, financial planner, and university administrator with approximately 15 years of professional experience in accounting, financial management, planning, auditing, and higher education. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Tripoli and a Master’s degree in Financial Planning, with specialized training in financial analysis, project planning, public funds planning, workforce planning, and financial management. Since 2017, he has served as a faculty member in the Planning Department at the University of Tripoli, where he teaches planning principles and statistics. He has also held senior administrative positions within the university’s Financial Department, including Interim Director of the Finance Office and Head of the Accounts Department, overseeing financial procedures, budgets, salaries, treasury operations, bank accounts, revenues, grants, final accounts, and financial reporting. His earlier professional experience includes positions as a financial and administrative auditor, Director of Internal Audit and Follow-up, Director of Planning and Follow-up, Financial Manager, Financial Officer, and Accountant across several organizations in Libya.AbdulSalam’s professional and research interests encompass accounting, financial planning, financial management, investment, stock market development, public finance, auditing, budgeting, project planning, and organizational administration. His master’s research examined the role of the stock market in increasing foreign investment, with an analytical study of the Libyan market during the period 2002–2010. Throughout his career, he has developed strong competencies in financial analysis, problem-solving, administrative procedures, internal auditing, budget preparation, financial reporting, banking reconciliation, and organizational planning. He is also proficient in Microsoft Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet-based applications. His combination of academic teaching, financial administration, auditing, and planning experience enables him to contribute effectively to research and professional practice in accounting, finance, financial planning, public-sector management, and economic development.
