Biography
Dr. Olasimbo Olufemi Olusola is a Nigerian physicist, academic, researcher, and university educator with expertise in Solid State Physics, Semiconductor Physics, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, and Electronic Device Physics. He holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Physics with specialization in Solid State Physics from Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, as well as a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education. He currently serves as a Lecturer I in the Department of Physics at Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti, having progressed through the academic ranks from Graduate Assistant to Lecturer I. His teaching experience covers General Physics, Material Science and Fabrication, Electric Circuits and Electronics, Solid State Physics, Solid State Electronics, Semiconductor Technology, and Electronics Measurement and Instrumentation. He has also undertaken various academic and administrative responsibilities, including NCE Coordinator, Sub-Dean, Examination Officer, curriculum committee member, Teaching Practice Committee member, and Seminar/Workshop Committee Secretary.Dr. Olasimbo Olufemi Olusola has an active record of scholarly research and publication in semiconductor materials, thin-film technology, optoelectronic properties, optical and electrical characterization, photovoltaic materials, and electronic materials. His doctoral research examined the growth and characterization of aluminium selenide and copper selenide compound semiconductors for optoelectronic applications, while his master’s research focused on the electrical and optical characterization of ZnSe thin films prepared using chemical bath deposition. His publications have addressed ZnSe, ZnTe, CdS, GaSe, Al₂GaSe₃, CuSe, and copper telluride thin films, including investigations of structural, optical, electrical, and optoelectronic properties for potential applications in photovoltaic and electronic devices. He has also contributed to research on thermoelectric properties, electron transport, strain, and solar-coronal phenomena, and has participated in conferences and workshops in physics, materials science, science education, digital learning, and research methodology. His research and academic experience make him well suited for academic research and peer review in Physics, Solid State Physics, Semiconductor Physics, Materials Science, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Optoelectronics, Electronic Device Physics, Thin-Film Technology, Photovoltaic Materials, and Applied Physics.
