Mr. Chileleko Mapiki is a Zambian Public Health Specialist, Cardiovascular Health Researcher, Registered Nurse, lecturer, and research ethics professional with more than seven years of experience in HIV/AIDS management, non-communicable disease control, health systems strengthening, and clinical and epidemiological research. She holds a Master of Public Health from Chreso University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and is pursuing a PhD in Nursing at the University of Zambia. She also holds postgraduate training in teaching methodology and biostatistics in public health and has undertaken specialized training in cardiovascular disease, hypertension management, diabetes, Good Clinical Practice, public health research ethics, and peer review. She currently serves as a Lecturer at Chreso University Copperbelt Campus and as a Committee Member/Reviewer for the Chreso University Research Ethics Committee, where she evaluates research protocols, renewals, and standard operating procedures for ethical and scientific compliance. She has also served as a Program Manager overseeing HIV/AIDS and NCD programmes, research activities, monitoring and evaluation, and implementation of national and international health guidelines. Her professional contributions include scientific abstract reviewing for the Zambia Health Research Conference and completion of the Elsevier Certified Peer Reviewer Course.Mr. Chileleko’s research interests focus on Preventive Cardiovascular Health, Public Health, Epidemiology, HIV/AIDS, Non-Communicable Diseases, Health Systems Research, Disease Surveillance, Health Literacy, and Clinical Research. Her published and emerging research addresses antihypertensive medication adherence among people living with HIV, contraceptive use and discontinuation, cervical cancer among women living with HIV, intrauterine contraceptive knowledge and perceptions, and the prevalence and awareness of risk factors for central obesity. She has presented and contributed to research and capacity-building initiatives addressing hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease prevention, NCD control, public health research ethics, and healthy lifestyle interventions. Her methodological expertise includes biostatistics, epidemiological study design, quantitative and qualitative research, community-based research, programme evaluation, implementation science, and health systems strengthening. Her academic, clinical, research, and ethics-review experience makes her well suited for research and peer review in Public Health, Epidemiology, Nursing, Cardiovascular Health, Hypertension, HIV/AIDS and Infectious Diseases, Non-Communicable Diseases, Health Systems, Health Promotion, Health Literacy, Clinical Research, Disease Prevention and Control, and Global Health.
