Associate Professor Dr. Halimahton Binti Borhan is a Malaysian economist and academic affiliated with the Faculty of Business and Management, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Melaka, Malaysia, where she serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics. She holds a PhD in Economics from Multimedia University, Malaysia, an MBA with a major in Multimedia Finance, and a Bachelor of Economics in Accounting from the International Islamic University Malaysia. With extensive teaching experience in higher education, she has taught Economics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Monetary Economics, Managerial Economics, Labour Economics, Quantitative Research Methods, Managerial Finance, and Managerial Accounting across undergraduate, postgraduate, and MBA programmes. She has also undertaken various academic leadership and administrative responsibilities, including Head of Economics, Head of Strategic Planning, Head of the Bachelor of Marketing Programme, academic coordinator, internal auditor, examination examiner, and research and innovation jury member.Dr. Borhan has an extensive research and publication record spanning Economics, Environmental Economics, Macroeconomics, Finance, Enterprise Risk Management, Energy Economics, Sustainable Development, and Quantitative Research Methods. Her research has examined economic growth, environmental pollution, the Environmental Kuznets Curve, energy consumption, foreign direct investment, unemployment, financial-sector development, enterprise risk management, financial performance, consumer behaviour, digital marketing, tourism, and sustainable development, with publications appearing in international peer-reviewed and indexed journals and books. She has served as a reviewer, editorial board member, associate editor, research-grant assessor, thesis examiner, conference reviewer, and academic consultant for numerous national and international academic bodies and journals. Her broad interdisciplinary research and academic experience make her well suited for research and peer review in Economics, Environmental Economics, Development Economics, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Energy Economics, Financial Economics, Finance, Banking and Financial Services, Enterprise Risk Management, Accounting, Managerial Economics, Labour Economics, Quantitative Research Methods, Sustainable Development, Environmental Studies, and Business Management.
