Genelyn R. Baluyos, EdD, is an Assistant Professor IV at Misamis University and has been a dedicated faculty member since 2002. She currently serves as the Dean of the College of Education and Program Head of the Master of Arts in Education program in the Graduate School, specializing in education and research, with a strong focus on research methodologies and statistics.
She holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Management and is currently pursuing a PhD, further strengthening her expertise in the field. Her contributions to educational research, particularly in quantitative and qualitative analysis, have been widely recognized. Her published works showcase her proficiency in utilizing statistical tools for quantitative research and qualitative data analysis software for data interpretation, accumulating 350 citations to date. She has presented her research at international conferences, further solidifying her prominence in the research and statistical community. She has also been recognized in the AD Scientific Index as a Scientist.
An active member of professional organizations such as the Philippine Association of Researchers and Statistical Software Users, Dr. Baluyos is committed to advancing research and statistical tools in education. Her accolades include the Outstanding Online Teacher Award (2021) and the Outstanding Dean Award (December 2024). She continues to lead discussions on integrating research methods and statistical frameworks in education.
Dr. Baluyos has also served as a peer reviewer for 15 scholarly articles published across various international and multidisciplinary journals between 2020 and 2025. Her expertise has contributed to the evaluation of research in education, social sciences, mathematics, and teacher development.
