Dr. Izhak Devid Paul is an accomplished Approved Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Shri Sant Gadge Baba College of Engineering and Technology (SSGBCOET), Bhusawal, with over two decades of combined academic and industry experience. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Kaviyatri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University (2023) and an M.E. in Machine Design. An innovative researcher and educator, Dr. Paul has secured a prominent research grant under DBATU-VC-RPG-2023, authored the book “Analysis and Design of Solar Dryer for household Food Products,” and holds multiple patents, including an international Australian patent for a foldable solar dryer. His pedagogical and research excellence has earned him prestigious accolades, such as the Best Faculty Award (2022-23) by the Novel Research Academy and multiple Best Paper Awards. He is deeply integrated into the global engineering community, serving as a reviewer for several international journals—including IEEE conferences—and holding active memberships in technical societies like ISTE, IAENG, and SAE India. Beyond research, Dr. Paul has proven to be a dynamic administrative leader and student mentor throughout his tenure since joining SSGBCOET in 2006. As a former Training and Placement Officer (2018–2021), he remarkably tripled the institutional placement ratio from 20% to 60% within a single year, secured over 20 institutional MoUs, and established critical campus initiatives such as the Career Guidance Cell and Entrepreneurship Development Cell. He has successfully overseen the execution of over 150 student-centric events, technical workshops, and industrial visits, while simultaneously managing institutional infrastructure as a website coordinator and NBA/NAAC accreditation committee member. On a university level, he frequently serves as a Paper Setter, Moderator, and Chairman for core mechanical subjects like Machine Design. Backed by early-career industrial experience as a CAD Engineer and proficiency in advanced software like Fusion 360 and CATIA, Dr. Paul continues to champion modern, outcome-based engineering education from his base in Jalgaon, Maharashtra.
