Dr. Hariandra Muthu is a Principal Lecturer at Taylor’s College, Malaysia, specializing in radiation detection and measurement. He earned his PhD from the University of Malaya, where his research focused on the radiometric evaluation and analysis of commonly consumed vegetables in Selangor, Malaysia. His research interests include assessing radioactivity concentrations and transfer factors of natural radionuclides, particularly in agricultural contexts.
Dr. Hariandra has contributed extensively to his field, publishing in high-impact, ISI-indexed journals. Notable publications include studies such as “Radioactivity Concentration and Transfer Factors of Natural Radionuclides 226Ra, 232Th, and 40K from Peat Soil to Vegetables in Selangor, Malaysia” and “Evaluation of Radiation Hazards and Risk Assessment in Agricultural Soil and Commonly Consumed Vegetables in the District of Klang, Malaysia.”
Over his career, Dr. Hariandra has received several prestigious awards, including the Certificate of Honour from Nanyang Technological University (2009), the Chairman’s Award for Excellence from Taylor’s Education Group (2008), and the Toray Science Education Award from the Malaysia Toray Science Foundation (2006). His contributions to education and research exemplify his commitment to academic excellence and the advancement of knowledge in his field.
