Dr. Tarig Mohammed Gibreel is an assistant professor of agricultural and natural resource economics and assistant dean of undergraduate studies at Sultan Qaboos University. With over 20 years of academic, research, and consultancy experience across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, he specializes in economic policy, sustainability, and rural development. His teaching emphasizes active learning, critical thinking, and using tools such as Excel, STATA, SPSS, SmartPLS4.0, and GAMS. He has taught courses like Experimental Economics and Agricultural Finance, contributes to curriculum development and mentoring, and has led projects supported by international institutions, including the FAO.
