Mr. Oluwatosin Daniel Akobe is a Certified Librarian (LRCN), Assistant Lecturer, and E-Librarian in the Department of Library and Information Science at Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa. Born in 1991, he holds an M.Tech. and B.Tech. (Second Class Upper) in Library and Information Technology from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, as well as a Professional Diploma in Education (P.D.E.) from Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa. His decade-long professional trajectory encompasses roles as an Assistant Librarian during his NYSC service at the Nigerian Defence Academy, an intern at the NNPC Corporate Library, a School Librarian and ICT Instructor in Abuja and Port Harcourt, and an e-library manager.A researcher and advocate for digital librarianship, Mr. Akobe’s scholarly interests center on e-library management, public library roles in sustainable development, rural information access, and reading culture promotion. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed journal articles, presented papers at national conferences, and actively served as a peer reviewer for IGI Global Publishing. In addition to teaching courses in information organization, preservation, and hardware technology, he serves as an Industry-based SIWES Coordinator and a national Council Member for the Nigerian Library and Information Science Students’ Association (N-LISSA). He is a certified member of the Nigerian Library Association (NLA), the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP), and a certified soft skills expert.
