Dr. Narnazim is an accomplished media practitioner, academic lecturer, and corporate strategist with over three decades of interdisciplinary experience navigating the broadcast and management landscapes. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in Strategic Management from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) and earned both his Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Leveraging a comprehensive research background in organizational structure and human resource development, he bridges theory and real-world execution across leading Malaysian universities. Dr. Narnazim currently serves as a Specialist and Faculty Lecturer at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) within the Faculty of Arts and Social Science, while concurrently teaching television/video production and modern presentation techniques to undergraduate students at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).
Prior to his tenure in higher education, Dr. Narnazim built a legendary, pioneer-level career at Astro (formerly Measat Broadcast Network Systems), tracking the network’s growth from its inception of zero subscribers to a multi-channel national powerhouse. As Senior Associate and Supervisor of Compliance and Presentation (C&P), he directed daily shift operations for 70 international channels across Bukit Jalil and Measat Cyberjaya, managing a large-scale workforce of 50 media professionals. His corporate legacy includes serving as the Presentation Director for monumental sporting events like SUKOM 1998 and the 2002 Commonwealth Games, overseeing complex live transmissions, technical ground feeds, and multi-team audio-visual networks. A specialist in government protocols, media content compliance, and process optimization, he has spearheaded critical workforce planning, dynamic talent recruitment pipelines, and long-term strategic masterplans for major commercial productions, cementing his status as an industry authority.
