Professor of Political Science in the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the University of Tunis-El Manar. She is a specialist in the relationship between the state and Islam, especially within the context of Tunisia’s democratic transition. She has also worked on several thematic such as political parties, gender, decentralization, democratization and human rights. She is the co-founder of the Tunisian Observatory of democratic transition in 2011 and the president of the GRIC (Groupe de recherche Islamo-Chrétien). She is author, co-author and co-editor of many books and articles. She speaks Arabic, English, and French.
