Dr. Prashant S. Kalshetti is a Professor and Head of the Department of BBA, Head of Examinations (UG), and Head of the International Relations Cell at Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth’s Global Business School & Research Centre, Pune. He has over 20 years of experience in management education, academic leadership, curriculum development, international collaborations, and research. He holds a Ph.D. in Management from Savitribai Phule Pune University, along with MBA degrees in HRM and Marketing, an M.Com. in Business Administration, and additional qualifications in International Business, Higher Education, Healthcare and Hospitality Management, and Medico-Legal Systems. His research interests include AI, digital transformation, marketing analytics, consumer behaviour, business management, strategic management, HR, and international business. He has published extensively in Scopus-, Web of Science-, ABDC-, UGC-indexed, IEEE, and other academic outlets, and has authored numerous books and book chapters.Dr. Kalshetti has made significant contributions to academic innovation through funded research projects, patents, copyrights, international collaborations, editorial responsibilities, and peer-review activities. He has served as a Ph.D. supervisor, Board of Studies member, examination administrator, editorial board member, guest editor, conference chair, and resource person. His academic contributions have been recognized through several awards, including the Education Excellence Award 2026, Mahatma Phule Maharashtra Ratna Puraskar 2026 (Ideal Teacher), Global Collaboration and International Programs Leadership Award 2025, and Inspirational Academic Achievement Award 2025. His recent research focuses particularly on artificial intelligence in business and education, machine learning, digital marketing, consumer analytics, AI-enabled HR, predictive analytics, and digital transformation, establishing him as an experienced academic and researcher in management, business, technology-enabled education, and interdisciplinary research.
