Biography
Richard Amoah (PhD) is a trained teacher and a social development worker in education and development. As a qualified teacher, he taught Basic Science and Agricultural Science at the Bolgatanga Model Preparatory Junior High School for 10 years. He obtained a Bachelor of Education Degree in 2007 from the University of Education, Winneba in Ghana, and a Master of Arts in Adult Education in 2012, also from the University of Ghana. Thereafter he pursued another Master in Sociology of Education in 2017 from Uppsala University, Sweden. Dr Amoah currently holds a PhD in Culture and Development Studies from University for Development Studies (UDS) Ghana as of 2020, with a research focus on Early Childhood Education in Ghana. Dr Amoah currently lives in his native country, Ghana, where he works with AfriKids Ghana (a child-centered charity organization) as Head of Programmes. He is also a Part-time Lecturer at MITDS and Tutor at the Bolgatanga Centre of the University of Ghana. Dr. Amoah is married to Ann Abaah a native of Balungu with two children, Nyinemi and Biseyine. He is a passionate youth motivator and a counsellor.
