Dr. Satheesh K. P. Kunjumon is a theological educator, researcher, and missiologist whose scholarship engages Christian theology, contextual missiology, Missio Dei, theological dualism, reconciliation, and the integration of evangelism and social responsibility. He previously served as Lecturer and Dean of Academic Studies at Asia Evangelical College & Seminary (AECS), Bangalore, India. He holds the Dip.Th. and B.Th. from Life Biblical Baptist Bible College & Seminary, Kerala; the M.Div. and Th.M. from South India Baptist Bible College & Seminary, Coimbatore; and the D.Min. from the South Asia Institute of Advanced Christian Studies, Bangalore. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Missiology at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas. Kunjumon’s publications reflect a sustained commitment to contextual theological inquiry and ecclesial formation. His early research, Ancestors Worship: A Christian Response (2014), examined indigenous religious practices from a Christian theological perspective. His pastoral scholarship includes 100 Sermons for Special Occasions (2010) and 151 Sermons for Special Occasions (2019). His subsequent research addresses theological education, including Curriculum Design for Christian Higher Education (2025), and biblical spirituality and collective social responsibility in The Role of Spirituality: Towards a Biblical Model of Collective Social Responsibility (CSR) (2025). A distinctive dimension of his scholarship is the Pneumato-Logos-Christo-Centric Approach, an evangelical and contextual framework for Christian mission in religiously pluralistic contexts. Integrating the pneumatological work of the Holy Spirit, the Logos as a theological category for contextual engagement with truth, and the Christological centrality and uniqueness of Jesus Christ, the framework seeks to articulate faithful Christian witness amid religious diversity.
His broader missiological research conceptualizes Missio Dei holistically across social, political, economic, and ecological dimensions, challenging dualisms that separate evangelistic proclamation from social responsibility. Kunjumon has presented research at the Evangelical Missiological Society in Dallas, Texas, and is contributing to a forthcoming Festschrift honoring an American scholar. His continuing scholarship focuses on contextual theology, reconciliation, theological education, and the social implications of Christian mission.
